Mutiu Alani Adedimeji Oyede-Lawal to be Crowned King- Oloola of Ilara-Yewa.

The entire Imeko Afon was agog on 28th May, 2024 at the emergence of Mutiu Alani Oyede-Lawal as the new Oloola of Ilara, after 4 years of endured rivalry among princes from the ruling house.

The Oloola Regency Council and Kingmakers in a meeting with the Local Government administrators arrived at the decision on Alhaji Mutiu Oyede-Lawal as the rightful successor to the the Oloola stool.

The meeting summoned by the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs was to reactivate the continuity of the procedure for the selection of Oloola, after 4 years of judicial hold down.

In their deliberation, the Kingmakers and members of the Regency Council resolved that the selection should be held at the LG Secretariat immediately and with no further delay.

The Kingmakers in a direction to vote for any of the four princes: Alh Mutiu Alani OYEDE-LAWAL, Elder Olusegun David OPEILU, Mr Kehinde Akanni ADESINA and Chief Angẹl Alabi ADEBIYI- all from the Faningbe/Igbaka Ruling house, reached a verdict that Mutiu Alani Adedimeji Lawal was the most suitable prince to accend the throne.

Untill his appointment, Alh. Lawal is the Deputy Registrar and also the Secretary of the Postgraduate Studies at Crescent University Abeokuta.

He’s a seasoned administrator and one among coordinators of several progressive community projects, and socio-cultural development.
