ASELGON Felicitates with Nigerians as the Nation Celebrates 63rd Year Independence
As Nigeria marks 63rd year of independence , a significant milestone that calls for reflection, celebration, and hope, the Association of Ex Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria (ASELGON) on this auspicious occasion, extends heartfelt felicitations to all Nigerians, both at home and in the diaspora, as we collectively celebrate the rich history, culture, and resilience of our great nation.
The president of the association Hon. Albert Asipa in a release said that the journey of Nigeria to its current status as an independent nation has been one of triumphs and challenges.
“However, we are also mindful of the challenges that our beloved nation faces. Economic disparities, security concerns, and infrastructural deficits remain areas that require collective efforts to address. Yet, the indomitable Nigerian spirit has consistently shown that we have the resilience and determination to overcome these obstacles and emerge stronger.”
The statement adds that “the Independence Day serves as a reminder of the unity, diversity, and unwavering spirit that define us as Nigerians. It is a time to come together, set aside our differences, and work towards a brighter future for our nation. Let us strive for a Nigeria where peace, justice, and prosperity reign supreme.
“ASELGON, as a proudly Nigerian platform, remains committed to work with other relevant Stakeholders in conjunction with the current National Assembly to remove Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC), State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) so that Local Government can be independent”.
