UK based Ministry-CPIM Donates Furniture to Ilara Schools

A UK based organisation- Care Possibility International Ministry (CPIM) donates 50 chairs and 50 desks to Schools across Ilara-Yewa.

This is one among the Ministry’s efforts to improve education standard and convenience of studying for pupils in public schools.
Earlier on, CPIM has renovated the United Christian Community Comprehensive College hall, provided chairs, tables uniforms and paid WAEC fees for students.

In his speech the CPIM representative Mr. Victor Jarret promised more chairs and desks for learners in Ilara, even as he mentioned of the plan to roof the construction of a block of four classrooms in UCCC.

The handover ceremony held on Thursday 13th June 2024 at RCM School Ilara had dignitaries in attendance including the SUBEB Secretary Dr. Mikhail Lawal.

Also in attendance was the Director of Academic and School Services Mrs Anifowose, Director Quality Assurance Mr. Alade Olusegun. The Imeko-Afon Zonal Education Officer Mr Olugbade who represented the State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology.

Others present at the handing over event was Chief Olabode Olaibi from the Education Authority, the Education Secretary TPL Ayoola Paul, Monitoring Officer Mr. S.T Olaibi, Mr. Adelani, while Chief Alani Ibitokun represented the Regency Council and Chief Faleru Atanda the CDC Chairman.
The facilitator of the programme Elder David Oluwasegun Opeilu was represented by The Very. Rev Joseph A. Bankole.


Among the beneficiaries are the Muslim Community Primary School, RCM 1 and RCM2 Primary Schools, Methodist Primary School, and the Community Primary School Alagbe.

Mr. Jarret in his words thanked the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, for the approval and support so far by which the various donations have been made possible.
The SUBEB Secretary Dr. Lawal thank the CPIM for the good gesture which is in line with Governor Dapo Abiodun’s education policy as a collective responsibility.


The Education Secretary thanked Elder David Oluwasegun for facilitating the programme to Ilara Land through his contact with Pastor Lanre Joda.

He had requested the furniture from the head of CPIM Pastor Lanre Joda during one of the handovers of the renovated School hall at UCC Ilara and is grateful that the promise was kept.
The Chairman of the CDC Chief Faleru Atanda thanked the donor and sought the opportunity to ask for the approval of Community-based schools in Ilara. Schools like Oloola Community Primary School, United Christian Community College and Ajoda Grammar School Idisien Ilara.
